WHAT EXACTLY WILL THIS INDIVIDUAL BE WORKING ON?

 

This individual will be a senior ServiceNow developer and a Control-M administrator.  The candidate will be responsible for assigned technical deliverables and will work with our current team (Dallas based, COEs, vendors) to ensure the successful delivery of highly-functional and reliable ServiceNow solution. The candidate will also support Control-M application, troubleshoot connectivity.

 

Other responsibilities include:

 

• Ensure ServiceNow instance is maintained and at optimal performance

• Technical problem-solving/troubleshooting

• Participate in the project team meetings, sprint planning sessions and sprint reviews

• Ensure the ServiceNow development team is adhering to current standards/policies

• Evaluation of new technologies and how they may best work within our ServiceNow Solution

• Integration of ServiceNow into other system

• Participate in 7x24 on call rotation and support duties

• Ensure Control-M servers are functioning properly

• Review New Day logs for all Control-M environments daily.

• Respond to any automated alerts related to Control-M

• Install Control-M plugins, fix packs and agents

SPECIFIC SKILL SETS REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with ServiceNow product

• 2 + years of experience working with Control-M as an administrator and programmer

• 1-2 years of ServiceNow deployments in an enterprise environment

• JavaScript, Jelly, AngularJS, and BootStrap experience

• Experience with ServiceNow script elements (Business rules, Client scripts, UI Macros, UI Pages, and AJAX etc.…)

• Experience developing custom integrations with ServiceNow (SOAP, REST, JDBC)

• Experience with ServiceNow Service Catalog and Workflows, Portal, Discovery, ITSM suite and ITOM.

• Experience building and configuring ServiceNow Mid-Servers

• Very good knowledge installing, configuring and troubleshooting Control-M application and Self Service

• Very good understanding of Control-M application topology

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills (both business and technical audience)

• Good written (documentation) and oral communications

• Excellent interpersonal skills

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

• Ability to work with project team to gather requirements and set direction based on ITIL best practices

• Strong relationship-building skills and excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate ‘technical’ problems/solutions to Leadership

• Must be able to work well with all aspects of our project teams (Technical, Business, Project Management, and Leadership)

• Experience with ServiceNow modules in Support as well as New Development initiatives

• Ability to create technical solutions that meet the business’ needs

• Results-oriented professional with proven ability to excel in a fast-paced and multifaceted team environment

• Strong attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good organizational skills - ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

• Willing to be flexible with work hours, including late nights and early mornings

• Must be a self-starter, be able to work independently, and should be able to identify needs, plans and tasks without supervision

• Familiarity and practice with Agile Project Management methodology

• Strong testing acumen - understanding of automated testing needs

SKILLS DESIRED:

• XML and .NET  programming experience

• Experience working with LDAP, Active directory and Microsoft Systems center tools

• Ability to troubleshoot Control-M server communication , knowledge working with networking tools, protocols and firewalls.

 

EDUCATION /CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

 

• Bachelor of Science degree in a Technical discipline.

• ServiceNow Certified Administrator

• ITIL V3 foundation certified

 

CERTIFICATION DESIRED:

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

FOREIGN LANGUAGE(S) REQUIRED OR DESIRED:

• Mandarin, Russian, or Spanish is preferred, but not required.
