JOB SUMMARY:

The candidate will be working in a fast paced and dynamic IT (Information Technology) environment which supports software applications for Supply Chain for Mary Kay’s Domestic-Global manufacturing and branch facilities. This person will be required to work and or lead cross functional teams to support application upgrades, network upgrades, SAN upgrades, various patches and other IT related changes utilizing basic project management methodologies. Other key responsibilities will be to assist in maintaining and logging of all Supply Chain IT related changes, prepare and lead weekly global change meeting to approve/reject changes as related to Supply Chain. This position requires bi-weekly rotation on Sunday mornings to coordinate routine software deployments.

 

WHAT EXACTLY WILL THIS INDIVIDUAL BE WORKING ON?

• Responsible for execution and tracking of change management processes to support software/hardware updates within the Supply Chain group for International / Domestic sites and subsidiaries.

• Facilitate and participate in change meeting(s) where affected parties are notified and IT changes are scheduled, approved, disapproved and rejected.

• Support in communicating and documenting all related IT changes.

• Assess the risk/impact to Supply Chain regarding hardware or software changes.

• Work with cross functional teams to support the drafting of an activity matrix (execution plans) to support changes.

• Act as coordinator and front line communicator during execution of major change controls.

• Ensure Change Assignee(s) documents business and technical assessments in the change record where applicable.

• Monitor that problems encountered in implementation such as failed, backed-out and cancelled changes are properly documented in change record and follow-up is done.

• Support special projects as required acting as project leader – use of basic project methodologies is required and experience with Microsoft Project is a must.

• Ability to work nights/weekends as needed for support of International and Domestic changes for Supply Chain group and other groups that might implement a change that affects Supply Chain. (Shift Rotation is required to support weekend deployments)

• Assist in facilitation of external and internal Supply Chain audits gathering information, assigning resources and providing formal communication back to auditors as required during audits.

SPECIFIC SKILL SETS REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years’ experience in change control and change management in an IT environment with core focus on software/hardware implementations and upgrades.

• 1-3 years’ experience as a Project Leader or Project Manager in IT or related IT experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Self-motivated and quick learner.

• Pays strict attention to detail, understands importance of accuracy and responsiveness

• Strong organizational task management and prioritization skills

• Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks concurrently.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• Ability to set and meet timelines and deadlines.

• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Project

SPECIFIC SKILL SETS DESIRED, BUT NOT NECESSARILY REQUIRED:

Knowledge of Service Now (IT Service Management)

EDUCATION REQUIRED OR DESIRED:

• BS in Computer science or other related field or comparable work experience

CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED OR DESIRED:

 

• CAPM or PMP Certified – desired not required
