JOB PURPOSE
Provides leadership and guidance to team of Marketing
Communication Account Managers on the U.S. Marketing Communication team. Manages
team responsible for coordinating and documenting audio/visual, print, web, and/or
creative initiatives, project development processes, project request
assessments and tracking projects to completion with full fiscal
accountability. Acts as a liaison
between Creative and partners in sales and marketing, U.S. Represents North
America in a positive light via many avenues of visibility and communications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Manages complex and senior-level initiatives via
strong partnerships with Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers to identify
project strategies prior to creative execution.

Uses independent judgment to determine if a
business need exists for the proposed initiative.

Actively seeks out and uses feedback from
customers.

Partners with department leadership to identify
long-term opportunities for Marketing and Communications Advisors to impact
each project owner’s business success and enable the Company to achieve
strategic goals.

Develops and maintains excellent working
relationships with clients, senior management and creative teams to enhance
communications and overall results between all parties and ensure successful
project development.

Develops and maintains strong relationships
based on mutual trust and respect. Builds alliances to foster partnership and
cooperation.

Partners with clients to obtain business
critical approvals on concepts at key stages of development in order to ensure
strategy decisions remain intact and relevant to the project.

Implements changes to creative workflow needed
to respond to speed to market initiatives by doing work in a way that has never
done before, ensuring business objectives continue to be met. Helps others
adjust to changes in the business. Works to provide solutions for maximizing
resources by providing recommendations to upper management.
2.
Manages the daily activities of and provides
leadership to Marketing Communications Account Managers.

Provides developmental feedback when necessary

reallocates workflow and resources accordingly.

Manages
logistic activities of domestic and international shipments that must meet
compliance guidelines. Supports high risk operations pertaining to clearance,
delivery, and declarations are done according to procedure.
3.
Marketing Communications Account Managers for independent
sales force and end consumer directed communication initiatives.
-
Leads/drives development of initiatives,
managing changes in direction and communicating critical information to all
relevant parties. Collaborates with senior marketing executives, key project
owners, and the Creative Services teams to clarify project objectives and
changes. Serves as communication agent between project owners and design team,
facilitating open communication regarding project expectations, direction,
timing, etc.

Ensures alignment of initiatives with overall
company strategies and manages critical relationships to ensure business goals
are met.

Analyzes initiatives to help determine the most
effective and cost efficient process to develop and deliver projects needed to
drive global business.

Oversees all project meetings and provides
updates to senior management on progress. Escalates issues and presents
solutions.

Leads resolution efforts of any project
challenges to ensure launch dates are on target

Instrumental in managing projects to completion
with full fiscal accountability for staying within budgetary guidelines and
delivering final materials on-time.

Conducts a post-delivery evaluation to ensure
project objectives, schedules and budgets were met.

Reviews final product to ensure project goals
are met. Meets with project owners following project delivery to assess client satisfaction
and gather information for refining processes.

Initiates changes; providing direction and
defining objectives related to improving business operations, such as internal
creative procedures and processes, project development, traffic/approval procedures,
and accounting practices for optimum department performance.

Communicates significant project owner issues to
department leadership.
4.
Leads the annual budget planning and development
of the Creative Services project budget and is accountable for financial
decisions on all creative services projects for the North America Region.

Responsible for creating annual project budgets
for North America partners.
-
Responsible for team providing analysis and
updates to management and project owners regarding project spending on a
monthly basis and having knowledge of general estimates for key projects at all
times.
-
Develops strategic recommendations for project
spending allocations when necessary, especially if variance from original plan
occurs. Responsible for providing variance justification for all projects.
5.
Provides
project leadership and guidance to Creative
team.

Assesses and provides feedback to management
regarding team performance. Determines when to escalate issues to department
management or leadership.

Interacts with and provides guidance to
marketing and creative staff in the execution of marketing collateral.

Oversees engagement and collaborates with the
creative team to meet and exceed client expectations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in communications,
marketing, advertising or business, plus |
Experience |
5+ years of experience in the marketing/advertising
field, including a minimum of 3 years managing staff in a creative services
environment. Familiarity with creative development process from creative
strategy through print production is essential. |

in development of projects in packaging, video, print literature, web and
publications.

and team-building abilities are essential for motivating a team of creative
business professionals to consistently deliver solution-oriented work. Must be
assertive, results-oriented, solution-focused and possess good business
judgment to effectively lead project development. Must be able to take
calculated risks, make decisions in ambiguous situations, and be willing to
take responsibility for them. Must be capable of coaching and mentoring
employees to new levels of contribution and achievement.
3.
Demonstrated
experience leveraging technology to maximize resources. Ability to see
opportunities for and lead change to improve project workflows, distribution of
assets and/or creation of scalable standard operating procedures to improve
processes.
4.
Experience
in developing complex budgets at the global, regional and local levels.
Demonstrated expertise in managing against a budget, reallocating resources as
needed and maintaining documentation throughout the year to report variances.
5.
Must
have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to
successfully develop project strategies and to communicate objectives. Must be
able to work, communicate, and negotiate effectively with various groups
throughout the organization, including C-level executives internally and with
external agencies. Must be able to facilitate meetings with project owners and
creative teams and present to executive management. Diplomacy in working
through interpersonal conflicts in an emotional, creative environment is
necessary.
6.
Must
be analytical and very detailed oriented with strong problem-solving, and
customer service skills along with a strong ability to manage multiple
initiatives in a multi-faceted and evolving environment. Must be assertive,
results-oriented, solution-focused, and possess good business judgment to
effectively lead project development.
