Project Manager, Sales Development - Europe Region
JOB PURPOSE:
Participates in the strategic development and helps shape the creation of Sales Force Development strategies and regional initiatives designed to optimize the career opportunity. Efforts support Consultant count growth, movement up the career path, sales force retention, increasing productivity and strengthening sales force leadership.
Assists the regional efforts of Sales Force Development to positively impact sales force results by providing leadership and professional expertise for training, support, motivation, and information to staff on a frequent basis in support of sales force programs, Career Path, materials, counseling, coaching and development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supports Sales Force Development Optimization Efforts
In conjunction with and in support of Sales Manager, leads Sales Force Development optimization and ongoing business development of local staff in support of sales force growth, business strength, and the opportunity. This involves regular in-depth review and strategic analysis in partnership with subsidiary staff of: current and proposed career path, viability against competitor offerings, marketing plan and sales programs. Offers guidance and recommendations to maximize the career opportunity and ROI in each market while ensuring appropriate change management and communication plans are in place for a smooth launch. Leads the Region Team review for all sales related SMA submissions for assigned markets collaborating with Region team partners, Sales Manager and VP, Sales & Marketing.
2. Participates in Creation of Sales Force Development Strategies
Participates in the creation of Sales Force Development strategies and regional initiatives designed to optimize the career opportunity. Efforts support Consultant count growth, movement up the career path, sales force retention, increasing productivity and strengthening sales force leadership. This includes regular review and analysis of program details and metrics, effort to reward evaluation, regional alignment, and regional sales programs.
3. Operates as a Subject Matter Expert
Operates as a subject matter expert and coaching resource for the region. Provides coaching strategies in line with desired growth and market/region/company SBP. Regular review of current programs and sharing of best practices from international subsidiaries ensures maximum collaboration, innovation and economies of scale. Efforts also include Flag 2/weak unit review, Go-Give area, GLDP & Cross Border. Responsible for the creation of new SOPs designed to offer clear and consistent direction and guidelines throughout the Region.
4. Assists in Management of Regional Conferences
With Sales Manager, assists in the management of regional Sales Force Development conferences and training. Manages and creates regional and customized Sales Force Development materials and implementation support to subsidiaries. This involves the creation and regular review of Sales Force Development Training Manual and other supportive materials to optimize the counseling and coaching by local staff.
5. Maintains Critical Regional Reports
Responsible for maintaining critical regional reports used to analyze the career opportunity. Provide additional support to Sales Manager and VP, Sales and Marketing by providing summary reporting of key information, metrics and results of sales programs.
6. Partners with Region Legal Team
Partners closely with Region Legal team and market staff on sales force related matters offering expert recommendations and ensuring compliance with policy and plays a key role in decision making. This is accomplished through collaboration with Region Legal colleagues and market staff.
7. Partners with IST
Partners closely with IST as liaison with markets ensuring new and revised program changes adhere to policy and technical capabilities aiming to optimize processes. Liaise regularly with IST partners to optimize reporting capabilities and ensure accuracy of data. Regular review of available reports to optimize market reporting for greatest analytical tools throughout region. Serves as primary contact for Front Office, Cognos and InTouch processes and reporting optimization.
8. Leads Collaborative Efforts as a Liaison
Leads collaborative efforts and serves as a liaison between markets regionally and globally to promote best practice sharing amongst the Sales Force Development departments. Also, leads collaboration with Marketing colleagues to ensure full-circle promotion of all Sales and Marketing activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable experience in Business, Marketing and Sales preferred
Experience: 2 years relevant work experience in business management, marketing or sales development. Proven work experience in business analysis, information gathering and compilation and program management. Mary Kay work experience including knowledge of the independent sales force and related programs is highly preferred.
1. Must have working knowledge and understanding or be able to demonstrate the ability to quickly and thoroughly learn the Mary Kay independent sales force career path, how they function and their compensation plan.
2. Must demonstrate strategic thinking, business insight and a strong work ethic.
3. Must be able to manage multiple projects and demonstrate a high level of project management skills. Must demonstrate flexibility in changing environments and shifting priorities.
4. Proven use of business analysis and sales force/consumer data in order to interpret results, identify opportunities, and influence strategic business decisions to maximize sales, teambuilding and earning potential.
5. Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with a reliable and professional work ethic where attention to detail and rapid execution are essential.
6. Excellent interpersonal communication, organization and analytical skills are required to work successfully with country and region management team, provide support and guidance to country staff.
7. Must possess a sense of urgency, be proactive and display collaboration, flexibility and diplomacy skills.
8. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Publisher preferred but not required.
9. International travel may be required up to 20% of work time to support the needs of the European Region.
