JOB PURPOSE:    
Performs receiving, shipping, merchandise/material movement duties as well as related documentation responsibilities. Utilizes various documents, computer and RF system applications to complete operational task and data entry. Utilizes and operates a forklift and material handling equipment safely for the movement of inventories during the process of unloading, staging and loading trailers. Utilizes a forklift to move inventories to conveyors, staging areas and rack storage locations. Performs manual picking functions to consolidate smaller case quantities for shipment preparations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:     
1. Picks and stacks merchandise for domestic shipments according to picking allocation utilizing RF scanning equipment. Checks part numbers, batch codes, expiration dates, country of origin and case counts that are pulled utilizing PC terminal to access WMS Warehouse Management System to verify specific information regarding merchandise committed to a shipment. Performs cycle count function to ensure inventory accuracy. Ensures that pallets are stacked, wrapped and sleeved securely according shipment specifications. 

2. Reviews shipping priority schedules and assigns allocated shipments by priority into the automated EMS Dometic systems to release and deliver inventories to pick / packing locations and staging locations. 

3. Prepares shipments for air and ground by stacking pallets in staging racks. Ensures all prepared shipments are packed in proportion to weigh. Ensures all air shipments are over packed, banded and do not exceed the 60” height restriction. Utilizing a forklift, loads trailers according to correct weight distribution and pallet arrangement. Utilizes dunage materials to secure loads. Verifies pallet identification tags against load sheet and various reports to ensure accuracy and destination of shipments. 

4. Checks refrigeration unit in trailers for properly functioning thermostat and adequate refrigerant fuel. Checks for cleanliness and damages of equipment prior to loading. Placards trailers with applicable labels according to hazardous classifications if necessary. Runs various system generated reports to verify all pallets have been packed and located. Supplies all generated shipment documentation to the Shipping Coordinator or Supervisor. Completes shipping related Load Tracking Documentation.

5. Unloads trailers from Manufacturing, both international and domestic vendors, and backhauls. Receives merchandise by verifying purchase order numbers, part numbers, batch codes, country of origin, quantities, descriptions utilizing vendor packing slips.  Checks merchandise for damage and documents as applicable. Affixes bar-code to cases and pallets and enters command code to initiate pick-up and storage of pallets by automated guided vehicles.       

6. Performs various related duties as assigned such as palletizing merchandise, changing forklift battery and maintaining accurate water levels. Keeps the warehouse area clean and organized. Trained to perform AGV vehicle recovery malfunctions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:    
Education:  High school diploma.

Experience: 3+ years warehouse shipping experience.

1. Ability to perform successfully in a team-oriented, time–sensitive, proactive and multi-cultural environment with co-workers and supervision. Must effectively communicate warehouse functions and interpret operational procedures. Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision.

2. Must have organizational and time-management skills to prioritize and work on multiple projects. Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be results oriented.

3. Must be certified or be knowledgeable in hazardous material packing requirements for land and air by a qualified company or government agency. Must be able to complete, pass and maintain all required training to maintain certifications to properly comply with government regulations.

4. Must continuously demonstrate the ability to safely drive the forklift equipment and be able to maintain forklift certification requirements.

5. Must have the ability to frequently stoop, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and reach in order to check pallets, pick cases and work around product. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in order to move cases.

6. Must be able to stand, sit and or walk for extended periods of time.

7. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide as demonstrated by successfully passing a math test. Must be able to utilize metric system for weights and measurements.

8. Must be able to use a personal computer to generate product paperwork, labels or reports, and to effectively communicate to others via e-email, and to update and maintain records.  Must be able to interact with RF type devices to enable system data gathering.

9. Must be available to work overtime when necessary.

10. Must be willing to perform other warehouse work functions such as receiving and International functions.
