Finance Technology Analyst II
1. Gains knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) through training and working with third party consultants in robot development. Continues self-development via webinars, online training academies, and other online tutorials to build skillset of robot development. Collaborates with groups across the Finance Division to identify opportunities for RPA and helps to assess viability and ROI in comparison with other available solutions. Evaluates potential for shared services for RPA with other markets. Formulates and presents robot recommendation to Finance management. Participates in all aspects of project management lifecycle of robot development including analysis of user requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post support. Maintains documentation ensuring RPA success including lessons learned, best practices, and drivers of potential design impact. Serves as the RPA SME by building RPA solutions, providing timely production support, and timely escalates issues for resolution to third party consultants. Trains other members of group on RPA. 50%
2. Partners with customers to support changing business requirements. Recognizes reporting inconsistencies, unusual transactions, and identifies root causes of issue to execute resolution. Collaborates with management by participating in all aspects of project management lifecycle including analysis of user requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and administration including documentation of system features, processes, and procedures for implementations, conversions, and integrations with SaaS solutions. Independently researches solutions by reviewing and participating in technology forums, webcasts, or other venues. Performs moderate to complex research and analysis assignments as requested by management. 20%
3. Serves as the PeopleSoft General Ledger Administrator performing routine and non-routine accounting system review and maintenance for both U.S. and Canada PeopleSoft financial systems. Responsible for the design and maintenance of General Ledger configuration, nVision reports, and queries. Works with other technical and functional resources to troubleshoot daily operations issues and to reengineer system processes as needed. Escalates issues when data integrity or meeting reporting deadlines are threatened. Ensures ongoing availability, recovery, and viability of a stressed environment by ensuring Business Continuity plans are current and available. Independently defines test criteria and performs extensive testing of system functionality during financial system upgrades or implementations. 20%
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in MIS or, Accounting, Finance, or other related field
Experience: 3+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Finance administration experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Strong PeopleSoft Finance systems knowledge and systems maintenance required.
2. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel including the use of macros, pivot tables, subtotals and similar advanced Excel functionality. Strong knowledge of relational databases and ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements.
3. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills which benefit interfacing with personnel at all levels, both in the U.S. and internationally required. Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task, and possess a sense of urgency. Must work well in a team environment to collaborate on business issues.
4. Experience managing or adhering to a project lifecycle from concept to implementation is strongly preferred.
5. Analytical skills needed to resolve moderate to complex tasks.
